The courses are held Monday and Wednesday mornings in the Municipal Offices of the Club Nàutic, Santa Eulalia.
This is the 4th edition of the activity and so far almost 320 people have used the course to improve their language skills. The activity has been so popular that it has been expanded to include a ‘superior’ level for those who already have a good, basic knowledge of the language.
3 levels are available from ‘initial’, to ‘intermediate’ and then ‘superior’ each with a maximum of 30 students per class. The courses will be supplemented with visits to municipal offices and local shops where students can practice and gain confidence in speaking the language.
The courses are designed to give its students ‘independence’ and the ability to communicate with ‘neighbours’ in Castilian. The course will give users the knowledge to deal with administration and day to day living on the island. The course can also be used as a ‘bridge’ for those wishing to move on to the Catalan language.
