A court of inquest has heard evidence yesterday Monday 15th of October, that there were no signs of violence on the corpse of a man found in the sea 200 meters from the coast of Sa Caleta at the weekend.

The preliminary results of the autopsy states that violence as a cause of death can be discounted, but does not yet reveal what is thought to be responsible for the 50 year old man drowning.

Police confirmed that the man had been identified by relatives.

Ultimately it was local fishermen who found the man’s body in the sea near sa Caleta, after a search including the employment of San Josep Police drone.

The body was removed from the sea by the Police Divers special underwater unit.
