Ibiza Consell has issued 9 SIDTEC (Sistema Integral de Qualitat Turística Espanyola en Destinació) quality in tourism awards to the Playasol group.

The presentation was made by The President of Ibiza Consell, Vicente Torres, accompanied by the director of the Balearic Tourism Agency (ATB), Jaume Alzamora, and the insular director of Tourism, Vicent Ferrer Torres.

SIDTEC Relaunched

The SIDTEC initiative aims to improve the quality of tourist destinations promoted by the Tourism Institute of Spain (Turespaña), and is managed locally through a collaboration between the ATB and Ibiza Consell. The nine Playasol establishments are the first to receive the certificate after the Island Government re-launched the SIDTEC system of quality certification in tourism.

The establishments that have received the award are The New Algarb Bossa Flow, Mogambo both as aparthotel and apartments, Jabeque Dreams, Soul Jabeque, Lei Ibiza, Marítimo and Cala Tarida.

Playasol Awarded

The president and director of ATB handed the awards to the managers of the establishments, congratulating them individually for their “commitment to quality and improvement of services offered.”

Torres said that “it must be a commitment by all parties, both government and private sector, to strive for further progress in improving quality” as “to ensure the sustainability of present and future business, we need a tourism business model with quality of service first and foremost”
