An information seminar is being held Friday 25th January to explain details of the new Balearic renewable energy grants including solar energy panels.

Ibiza Consell has organised a talk on the new Balearic Government subsidies for renewable energy installations.

The event will take place on Friday 25 January at 13.00 in the Plenary Hall of the Consell headquarters in Avenue d’Espanya in Ibiza Town. It will be attended by the director general of Energy of the Government of the Balearic Islands, Fernando Rosa, and coordinator and Mobility Councillor Gianandrea Di Terlizzi.

The session is open to the general public and is designed to introduce new lines of grants for the installation of fotovoltaics (solar energy panels) that are aimed at both individuals and companies. The aim is to “resolve doubts and facilitate the process of the transition to renewable energy”. At the end of the presentation there will be a time for questions from the floor.

Gianandrea Di Terlizzi said “After the repeal of the single tax and changes in the regulation of the energy sector, we have a time of great excitement and tremendous opportunity in the field of renewable energy. The visit of the director general of Energy aims to clarify any doubts among industry professionals, employers or individuals who are interested in installing solar panels in their homes”. The councillor went on to highlight that the production of clean and renewable electricity not only reduces climate change and improves air quality, but also has benefits to the local economy in diversifying business and job opportunities in the sector.
