The British rider was not wearing a helmet and driving dangerously through San Antonio
Police officers from the Special Summer Night Team known as ENEV assisted a seriously injured motorcyclist on Friday morning.
The man of British nationality was seriously injured when he collided with a taxi after driving ‘out of control’ on the Passeig de ses Fonts in San Antonio. The incident happened at around 5am when officers spotted a man driving a motorcycle without a helmet. He was weaving in between vehicles at high speed. so the officers followed the man. When the rider passed General Balanzat street he raised his legs and ‘balanced’ while continuing to overtake other vehicles.
The rider continued for more than a kilometre, skipping the five crossings without stopping and even driving in the wrong direction. It was at the Carrer de l’Estrella and Carrer Vara de Rey intersection where the rider crashed into the side of the taxi.
Police officers assisted the rider before he was taken to Can Misses where he was admitted.
