ISSUU

Alternative format, more information for regular readers and subscribers…

We have always tried to offer as many ways of reading the Ibizan as possible, to suit personal preferences, the tech being used to view, and internet speed (though not an issue in the UK, some areas of Ibiza are still on sub 1mb speeds).

Since adding the downloadable pdf, it has become very popular and our issuu platform e-issue readership has proportionately decreased as would be expected.

We do not know how many people use the plain text version, but we know Google does not like it one bit. Whether or not we like the fact, Google matters. At typically 17,000 words it is simply too big and complex (as in the range of topics covered) for Google to analyse in rankings and in news. To be fair we do not like it much either – as it is very time consuming. That is OK if many people read it but if, as we suspect, the pdf is the best way to go, it makes little sense to do it.

We really would appreciate your feedback as to what you use currently and how you get on with this embed. Please note this embed is a trial (free) version. If we get favourable reports we will invest in the full version which has the advantages of making all links live, better scaling for mobile devices, is downloadable and various other enhancements.
