Hold on to your woolly hats people, Spanish weather agency AEMET have issued a yellow alert for Tuesday night Wednesday morning the 10th and 11th of January – including some possibility of snow!!!
High winds are predicted for the east coast of Ibiza and Formentera, gusting up to 70kmh with waves up to 3 metres from the early hours of Wednesday morning to around 6pm.
Temperatures are set to drop to a low of 4 degrees Tuesday night – with a low level snow cloud cover giving a possibility of a rare Ibizan snowfall.
Will it happen? Despite AEMET’s predictions having a pretty good record of being proven correct over the last year, we wouldn’t bet our brexit de-valued pension on this one.
Update: Aemet have now extended the snow prediction to the coming weekend, so if it doesn’t happen Tuesday night, don’t pack away the skis again quite yet.
