The second Ibiza Music Video Festival returns to the island for two days on October 10th-11th at the Grand Palladium Palace Hotel in Playa D’en Bossa. The festival is all about developing talent, exchanging knowledge and rewarding creativity, celebrating all aspects of music video production. Aimed at anyone and everyone with an interest in music videos, from record label commissioners to aspiring young filmmakers, day tickets cost only 30€ or 50€ for the full festival.
Day one is structured around The Academy – educational talks with industry professionals looking into pre-production, production and post-production. This will be followed by a Q&A session. Day two includes a series of interactive workshops, focusing on all elements of making music videos from makeup to marketing. The full programme is available on the IMVF website, plus there’ll be ample opportunities for meeting the other attendees and networking.
The festival also includes a music video competition, which has received over 450 entries and will be judged by a panel of industry experts. The winners will be announced at an award ceremony at Yemanja on Cala Jondal on Saturday October 11th. The nominees for each of the ten awards can be seen on the IMVF website. Tickets for the award ceremony can be purchased separately for 20€.
Launched in October 2013 by music and film Producer Rupert Bryan and his collaborative partner Elizabeth Fear, this is now a global online and interactive music video festival, competition and awards’ ceremony, celebrating all aspects of music video production. In its first year, IMVF had 300 attendees.
