From June 11 to 15 Ibiza Gay Pride takes place on the island, with a 4-day programme featuring activities for all ages, from films, a book reading, theatre, drag shows and performers, parties and the march for the rights of the LGTBIQ+ community on Saturday, June 15. With the Ibiza LGTB Association behind the event, the motto for this year is ‘love is a human right and diversity a reality’. Gay Pride is still an important worldwide event, and even though Ibiza is a very tolerant and open-minded place, the experiences for many people around the world are still very different. As well as the main programme of activities there are also a number of club parties, plus each night in the bars on Calle Alfonso XII and Calle de la Virgen there will be DJs, drag queens and much more.

The march is still a very important part of Gay Pride around the world, giving visibility on the streets and promoting equality for the LGTBIQ+ community. Taking place on Saturday June 15 it begins at 7pm from the Fishermen’s Guild in the Port of Ibiza, reaching the Avenida de los Andenes, in the Marina. Everyone in Ibiza is encouraged to participate in the march, which will be a colourful, loud and fun procession, based on previous years’ experience. After the march, the manifesto will be read by Topacio Fresh followed by a party for diversity, tolerance and respect, directed by Sandra Love with performances from Nalaya and Selena, plus other DJs and performers.
