• Ibiza’s Day Of The Tourist, Thursday 15th September

We all have reason to be thankful to Ibiza’s tourists upon whom every aspect of our economy is reliant.

As with any love affair however, the relationship is not always straightforward.

Ibiza’s relationship with its visitors has gone beyond the early heady days of unabated joy and romance, and moved into a reality of balancing too many kids, not enough income, and the need for regular date nights to remind us we are in love at all. Ibiza’s online relationship status would be ‘it’s complicated’.

Ibiza Day Of The Tourist, Thursday 15th September

However, today Thursday 15th September is nominated as one of those ‘date nights’ on which we celebrate and give thanks to everything the tourists bring to our island.

On Thursday we must remember our common roots and make extra effort to do whatever is within our power to make those tourists that cross our path have the most enjoyable holiday possible.

A wide-ranging agenda of special activities and events have been arranged throughout the island and so please help spread the word and give the information to as many people as possible.

Day Of The Tourist

The day is set aside by the Island’s municipalities to pay homage to the tourists who visit Ibiza. Whether it is your first time here, or you are a regular visitor, Thursday 15th September is a tribute to you. Each town hall organises different activities, which include tastings of typical local products, traditional dances, exhibitions, guided walks and much more.
