Routes and schedules of the Carnival processions in Ibiza and Formentera

Ibiza does Carnival in grand style, here we list all the routes and schedules of the main parades around the islands.

Our thanks to our good friends at the diario de ibiza who saved us a huge amount of time having put together a combined planner from the various Town Halls before we had time to do so.


Ibiza Town

  • Main Parade Sunday 26th @ 11:30h

On Thursday 23rd from 17.30 to 20.30 hours, a community feast of a giant tortilla with over 600 portions. This year it will be in the square Antoni Albert i Nieto and there will also be a dance workshop and games for the whole family.

The party continues with the carnival concert of the Banda Simfònica Ciutat d’Eivissa directed by Adolfo Villalonga Juan on Friday, February 24 at 9 pm in the tent of the Antoni Albert i Nieto square.

On Saturday 25 at 19 hours comes the star show for families. It is ‘Canine Adventure’, a musical inspired by the ‘Canine Patrol’. There will also be activities in the Marina and Mercat Vell.

Sunday 26th is the big day, that of the Rua de Carnaval. Due to the works of Vara de Rey this year the tour changes. The itinerary begins at 11.30 in the ses Figueretes roundabout to continue along the avenue of Spain, Ignasi Wallis, Isidor Macabich, Bisbe Abad and Lasierra and Josep Zornoza Bernabeu arriving at Antoni Albert i Nieto square, where there will be a giant paella

The activities continue on Tuesday 28 at 19:00 in the tent of the Antoni Albert i Nieto square with the chirigotas ‘Los que te comer la aurora’ and ‘Los machinistas’ from the rocks El Pellizco and La Comparsa Clandestina.

The carnival concludes with the funeral of the sardine on Wednesday, March 1 from 18 hours in the park of La Paz with the collaboration of the neighbors of es Clot.

Santa Eulalia

On Tuesday the 28th the parade will depart at 17:00 from César Puget Avenue and continue along Jose Guasch Vich Street, Sant Jaume Street and will end in the aforementioned street, past the Plaza de España.

San José

  • Parade Thursday 23rd @ 17:00h

The street of the Carnival of Sant Josep is celebrated on Thursday 23rd from 17 hours in Cala de Bou. The parade will start from Sant Agustí Avenue (next to SUMA supermarket), go down Calle de Madrid and left into Calle des Caló until you reach the municipal offices of Cala de Bou, where prizes will be presented to the winners.

San Juan

  • Parade Sunday 26th @ 17:00h

Sant Joan is disguised en masse on Sunday 26th, a day full of activities to take advantage of the costume 24 hours a day.
At 10:00 a carnival market has been programmed and at 13:00 a FlorDhiguera concert. At 14:00 is the time to replenish forces with a popular paella.
At 17:00 starts the Carnival street that ends two hours later with the awarding of prizes to the best costumes.
At 18:00, to animate the atmosphere, a concert of Keep a Rockin is planned.

San Antonio

  • Parade Saturday 4th @ 17:30h

Sant Antoni will be the last municipality to take the Rua de Carnaval to the street: on Saturday March 4. The parade will take place at 17:30 and the tour will be the usual of each year: part of the avenue of Doctor Fleming, following to Lidl supermarket located in the municipality and then will head for the Passeig de la Mar (waterfront)


  • Parade Sunday 26th @ 12 noon

The street of Carnival of the minor Pitiusa takes place on Sunday 26th in the town of Sant Francesc.
From 11.00 p.m. all participants will be concentrated in the Sa Senieta car park where they will have to register to participate in the Carnival competition. At noon 12:00 noon the Sa Senieta parking parade will take you through the main streets of the town and will be animated by Voices & Senses music.

The street will take the Avenida del Pla del Rei, continue along Eivissa Street until the Plaza de la Constitución to make a return through Jaume I Street, from where they will turn on Marc Ferrer Street, to take Calle Santa Maria, And finally return to the Plaza de la Constitución.
