A fire has broken out in a stubble-field on a privately-owned property in the Camí des Regueró street in San Antonio.

According to initial reports, the fire started at around 4.15pm on the land near the house, burning down an unoccupied caravan on the land and spreading through an area of cane and stubble-field next to Camí des Regueró.

In attendance are 10 firefighters, the fire plane, helicopter, fire engine and two environmental agents. An ambulance was in attendance to assist one of the residents of the house who suffered smoke inhalation.

The fire is under control and as yet there is no information as to how it started.
