Defected Sundays at Eden was one of the Club calendar classics of 2017. With the announcement of the 2018 line up straight from Dunmore’s top drawer, it looks to be better still…

“In Our House We Are All Equal”, so the Defected slogan goes, and we like that. Defected is house for proper people, not a pretentious poseur in sight, it’s all about the dancefloor and that has to be right, right?

Sundays at Eden 2017 were without doubt one of 2017s stand out success stories. Kicking off with the perfect Sunset Strip pre-parties at Mambo, a stop off at Plastik to build the night, while giving the perfect vantage point to keep an eye on the queue at Eden. And queues there were – Defected was the talk of the town, and we like that too.

Unequal House

I doubt many would be moaning if Defected 2018 was the equal house of last year. But it isn’t. It is decidedly unequal – and all in the right direction.

From the Defected royalty of Roger Sanchez through to Ibiza born and bred Manu Gonzalez, and all overseen with the paternal eye of Simon Dunmore, plus of course local lass and Ibiza’s own Ms Defected, Sam Divine, as a roster regular.

Who else do you fancy? Well here’s the P.R. Blurb; “Sunday nights with Defected will see headline sets from well-loved house superstars like Roger Sanchez, Sandy Rivera and Todd Terry alongside residents Franky Rizardo, Sam Divine, Josh Butler, Simon Dunmore and Dario D’Attis, as well as underground house heroes Karizma, DJ Haus, Shadow Child, Angelo Ferreri, Ninetoes, Scott Diaz and Manu Gonzalez. CamelPhat will return after an unprecedented 2017 that saw them nominated for a Grammy award, scoop countless Beatport No.1’s, Platinum sales and sell-out shows around the world. New faces Human Movement join Defected favourites Mat.Joe, Luke Solomon and Low Steppa who return to set Eden off once again after memorable performances last year. Clubbers can also expect surprise B2B appearances, the unforgettable energy of Defected on the dancefloor and roadblocks of likeminded house music lovers queuing for their best night in San Antonio.”

Will that do you? Good, we like that very much.

Opening Party

The opening party will be on Sunday 20th May, with Sam Divine, Amine Edge & DANCE, DJ Haus, Low Steppa, Simon Dunmore and Jacky. Defected Sundays will run through to 7th October.
