The Resort has 186 suites along with restaurants, bars, a full service spa, pools and gardens, and if that isn't enough they even have their own Pershing yacht available for guest transfers and private charter.

Never yet has the ridiculously good value menu—13.50€ for three courses—failed to live up to expectation, and nor did it today. But remember, this isn’t one to put on the wish list—you only have until October 31st to get along before the shutters come down. The menu changes weekly, so that’s 3 menus left. Be kind to yourself, try them all, it’s been a long hard summer and you’ve earned it.
Now the short wait begins before the ‘Eggs Benedict’ arrives. I could have plumped for the typical fry-up, a bowl full of Acai, pancakes, sandwiches or wraps, but I fancied the eggs and my diet allows it. I take the opportunity to enjoy the view of the sea and start feeling a bit poetic.
Fresh is all about style from the moment you sit down. How would you describe it? Shabby chic, with a touch of tin-can ethnic simplicity? You could call it that, but you’d be rightly called something past a bit pretentious. I love manager and ever-attentive host Louise’s description of ’like my Grandma’s garden by the sea’.
Wow. “Get your coat pork, you’ve pulled”. Such a refined meal probably doesn’t warrant such a cheap pun, forgive me, I couldn’t resist. But cheap as the pun is this plate served the sentiment and some. Deliciously moist, so moist, true melt in the mouth with the added kick of chilli flakes should you choose to take them. Another fantastic taste combination in the rosemary mash, to my mind more a puree, working perfectly with the salt of the finest pork I have eaten. We have come to know that Villa Mercedes never fail to provide the finest produce and this dish provided the perfect example of that quality first policy.
We love Tapas Restaurant & Lounge Bar, and it seems everyone else does too judging by the Tripadvisor certificate of excellence they have held for several years—and during that time frequently and currently the website’s number 1 restaurant in San Antonio.
