San Antonio Sunsets at Beach Café Tulipan

Top tip is to book a sunset Tapas and Sangria deal. A minimum of 4 people can get a superb Sangria and scrumptious supper, for just 15€ per head.

      Palapa, It’s A Street Thing …

Palapa is a new name on the San Antonio Marina front for 2016. It’s all about street food, incredible taste with the equally incredible waterfront street life playing out its cabaret in front of you.

Rooftop Nine, Seventh Heaven on Floor Five

Rooftop Nine is open to all; you do not need to be resident in the hotel nor pre book for any particular events or functions. There is no charge for entry and everybody is welcome from its opening at 11am through the day and night.

Now the short wait begins before the ‘Eggs Benedict’ arrives. I could have plumped for the typical fry-up, a bowl full of Acai, pancakes, sandwiches or wraps, but I fancied the eggs and my diet allows it. I take the opportunity to enjoy the view of the sea and start feeling a bit poetic.

details of over 50 events in Ibiza from the 18th to 31st August

      Fresh on the Strip

Fresh is all about style from the moment you sit down. How would you describe it? Shabby chic, with a touch of tin-can ethnic simplicity? You could call it that, but you’d be rightly called something past a bit pretentious. I love manager and ever-attentive host Louise’s description of ’like my Grandma’s garden by the sea’.

Villa Mercedes A La Carte for Summer ’16

Wow. “Get your coat pork, you’ve pulled”. Such a refined meal probably doesn’t warrant such a cheap pun, forgive me, I couldn’t resist. But cheap as the pun is this plate served the sentiment and some. Deliciously moist, so moist, true melt in the mouth with the added kick of chilli flakes should you choose to take them. Another fantastic taste combination in the rosemary mash, to my mind more a puree, working perfectly with the salt of the finest pork I have eaten. We have come to know that Villa Mercedes never fail to provide the finest produce and this dish provided the perfect example of that quality first policy.

Tapas Restaurant & Lounge Bar – New for 2016

We love Tapas Restaurant & Lounge Bar, and it seems everyone else does too judging by the Tripadvisor certificate of excellence they have held for several years—and during that time frequently and currently the website’s number 1 restaurant in San Antonio.

Bucanero & Donnegans, the Bay Ravers

Cala de Bou’s two partner pubs Bucanero and Donnegans who sit side by side in perfect harmony.

Mint Lounge Bar – Welcome to the Lorenzo Fan Club

Mint Lounge is a gorgeous gem of a place nestled next to Mambo on San Antonio's sunset strip. Open from midday, it's the perfect place to enjoy a lazy lunch or sip on one of their delicious cocktails on the wood decked terrace and gaze across the sparkling Mediterranean sea as a gentle breeze drifts in and warm sunshine soothes your soul.

Jacaranda Lounge – Es Canar – Review

Jacaranda lounge is a sprawling white haven atop the cliffs in Es Canar, stylishly fitted out in Asian influenced white bali beds, pallet furniture, thatched cabanas, sunbeds and tables and dominated by an azure blue pool overlooking the glittering Mediterranean sea.

      Stevie D’s, Expatacular!

Stevie D’s has, to the best of our knowledge, been the only venue in Ibiza serving the full English breakfast and Traditional Sunday Roast all winter long. For that alone they deserve a round of applause, just for being there, for fulfilling that expat need to cure the hangover, or get that special Sunday feeling, in the best ways we know how, come rain, wind or lucky as we are here normally shine.

      Villa Mercedes Valentine’s

The atmosphere at Villa Mercedes is a unique combination of upmarket yet friendly, cool yet welcoming and bustling yet calm. It's long been our go-to destination for a romantic dinner or celebration and is the first place we recommend to visitors looking for a special place at which to eat out.

Futura Live Lounge, “I’m Hungry, Hungry, Hungry Hungry”

Futura Lounge Bar and Grill was rapidly becoming a favourite of mine even before I ate there on Sunday due to the family friendly environment, great prices and fantastically warm and welcoming hosts Dave and Nikki - also very talented musicians who have no ego and are happy to get up and entertain or to sit and jam with their punters.

Hostal La Torre – This Is Where I Long To Be

A truly refined and memorable supper for those who worship taste and quality above all else. I noticed a plaque with Madonna’s La Isla Bonitas lyrics whilst walking around the hotel. No wonder she reportedly changed them from San Pedro to Ibiza during her recent visit. This is where I long to be, La Isla Bonita.

“It’s All Gravy” Sunday Lunch @ Mariposa, Cala Llonga

As we were enjoying the afternoon you couldn't help but notice the succession of puddings pass by to other less patient patrons. Apple Pie created with an outlook of ‘now that’s an apple pie’. Syrup Sponge Pudding smothered in creamy custard that had been created with an outlook of ‘now that’s a childhood memory’.

      The All New Mumak

Welcome to the all new Mumak - new, different, professional, and most of all very tasty.
