Due to the confinement measures of closing restaurants, hotels and other establishments, local produce is abundant.
The Consell de Eivissa is promoting a campaign to encourage the purchase and use of local produce. Recipes using local fish, meat, fruit and vegetables will be published on the campaign website ‘Sabors d’Eivissa’, and via social media.
“With a responsible purchase, we will support our primary sector and preserve our culinary heritage, thereby creating special moments with the family that will remain in the memory,” explained the insular director of Rural and Marine Affairs, Joan Marí.
As an incentive to buy locally, there will be a raffle where you can win a selection of local produce, delivered to your home. To enter, you need to post a photo of the dish you cooked using one of the recipes (and local produce), on the Facebook page Sabors d’Eivissa. You will also find information and recipes on the Facebook page.
