A 65 year old British tourist has died Wednesday afternoon the 10th of July after suffering a cardiac arrest.
Emergency services received a call at 2.50pm stating that the man was unconscious. Two nurses who were in the establishment started CPR and continued until paramedics arrived at the scene.
The paramedics continued to provide CPR for an hour, however they could not resuscitate him and he died at 4.10pm.
Our thoughts are with his family.
Note: Our first issue of this article referred to La Bahia Hotel. We were subsequently updated with information it was la Bahia restaurant within the Playa Bella Hotel.
Though the official 061 report referred to the two nurses on the scene, subsequent comments by the community have indicated that the staff of Playa Bella played an important part in efforts to save the life of a tourist was was a frequent flyer to Ibiza, and clearly much loved.
