The Sunset Swing Festival Weekender returns for the 6th year at Eddie’s Diner in San Antonio from August 23-25. With 3 days of programming that includes 6 live bands, dance teachers from the peninsula to show you some cool moves, pole dancers, custom American cars, Harley-Davidson bikes and a tattoo parlour onsite courtesy of Tattikus Tattoo.

Friday August 23

20:00-20:30 – Opening of the festival and presentation of the Sunset Swing Club dance teachers PILI, MARTA and JOSE

20:30-21:00 – Free classes of SWING and ROCKABILLY JIVE dancing

21:00-22:30 – Live music from local female rock and roll group ‘POISON IVY’

22:30-00:00 – Live music from ‘ROCKOLA PROJECT’

00:00-01:00 – DJ STOMP ROCKER, playing 45s on vinyl

Saturday August 24

19:00-20:00 – Free classes of LINDY HOP dancing

13:30-15:30 – Live music from ‘THE FABULOUS SKIFFLE KINGS’

15:30-17:30 – Live music from ‘SURPRISE BAND’

17:30-18:00 – Exhibition of classic American cars

18:00-18:30 – Free classes of LINDY HOP dancing followed by I MELT FROM THE HEAT BEACH PARTY

18:30-19:00 LIMBO

19:00-21:00 – DJ STOMP ROCKER, closing the festival with more 45s on vinyl
