On Sunday October 2, the beautiful agroturismo Atzaro will host the Ibiza Spirit Festival – a magical day of inspiration and celebration.  This is a wonderful opportunity for the people of Ibiza to come together and share in the joy of our true spirit by opening our hearts and minds to new ways of thinking and being.  Amazing events will be happening all day from the opening at 11:00 right through the Ecstatic Dance Party after sunset with DJ Kareem Raïhani.  These will include Great Music, Creative Dance, Inspirational Meditations & Workshops, Alternative Therapies, Tantra, Yoga and much more.  Of course there will be delicious food to add to the celebration, and a Magical Children’s Garden created with love for kids of all ages.

Jerry Brownstein along with his wife Sabina and David Moss are the organizers of the Ibiza Spirit Festival. Their vision is to create a day of joyous celebration that shows us how beautiful life can be… how together we can generate the energy for positive transformation… in ourselves and in the world.

The Ibiza Spirit Festival is a non-profit organization, and all of the proceeds are used to support this event and other charities here on Ibiza.  This year they will be helping the wonderful work that APNEEF does with special needs children.

The Festival asks guests for €10 at the entrance which includes access to all activities (except therapists and readers who ask a small extra donation).

Medieval Fair

  • San Antonio

The pirates will be descending on San Antonio for the annual medieval fair over the weekend .

The programme of events starts on Thursday 29th and  goes through to Sunday 2nd of October.

The action is centred around the fountains on the San Antonio marina front.

On Thursday the market opens at 6pm with the pirate procession at 8pm.

Dance featuring a ballerina starts at 10pm and this is followed by live music at 10.30 and 11.30pm.

Friday to Sunday the events start at 11am  and again go on through to midnight.

Fair Warning: Though many aspects of the fair are good fun, every year we receive numerous complaints about the hot food barbecue stalls at the far end of the fair. The prices are simply ridiculous and they do not display them – leaving people gasping at an 80€ bill bill a couple of plates of questionable quality meat and plastic cup drinks.

Craft Fair

  • Ibiza Town
    • Claire B

The craft fair ‘Sa Tardor’ has arrived in Vara de Rey in Ibiza Town. There are 22 stands, many from artisans in Ibiza, selling handicrafts (leather, ceramics, glass, jewelry, wood etc.) and food products (honey, hierbas etc.). In addition, the Colla de Sa Bodega will have a booth where they demonstrate making traditional Ibizan crafts.

Also in the Vara de Rey are stalls selling food and drinks – a churros stall and the Companatge stall with it’s bargain local cheese, sobrasada and sausages served on a slice bread and a cup of local wine for 1 euro – one of Ibiza’s best bargains and a great way to sample some local produce!

Open every day until Sunday October 2 from 11:00-14:00 and 17.30-22.30.

Walking Ibiza

  • Claire B

Now that summer is over and the weather is cooling down, Walking Ibiza reverts to its ‘normal’ winter schedule.

Sheila’s ‘Short and Sweet’ walks (2-3 hours) return to Wednesday mornings starting at 10.00, with complimentary homemade cakes, tea, coffee and infusions at the end.

The classic walks (4-5 hours) start at 10.00 on Fridays. On Friday September 30 the walk is from San Carlos to The Silver Mines.

Saturday 1st October will be the final community kayak tour of 2016 at 17.30 at San Miguel beach (booking in advance is needed).

Or if you want a hardcore walking experience, the next ‘Around The Island’ walk leaves on October 9. There’s one place left on this 12-day walk around the entire coastline of Ibiza, which is a life changing experience.
