      Hostal La Torre – This Is Where I Long To Be

      A truly refined and memorable supper for those who worship taste and quality above all else. I noticed a plaque with Madonna’s La Isla Bonitas lyrics whilst walking around the hotel. No wonder she reportedly changed them from San Pedro to Ibiza during her recent visit. This is where I long to be, La Isla Bonita.

      As we were enjoying the afternoon you couldn't help but notice the succession of puddings pass by to other less patient patrons. Apple Pie created with an outlook of ‘now that’s an apple pie’. Syrup Sponge Pudding smothered in creamy custard that had been created with an outlook of ‘now that’s a childhood memory’.

I know that because I went down to the anniversary celebrations this week just gone for what is known in Irish circles as Craic. For those who are unaware of Donnegans and why it is an institution, I’ll give you all a little background.

      It seems that the whole western world is getting a little health conscious lately, and Ibiza is no exception. You only have to look at the excessive amount of gym bunnies in swimsuits and musclebound lads in their little orange shorts to see how important it has become to look good.

      Playa Bella – Best of British

      The promenade fronting Playa Bella hotel terrace has always been a popular choice for good food at very good prices and for many is Ibiza’s spiritual home for bingo and hotel cabaret nights. They have now added a traditional Sunday Roast to their menu.
