Barcelona is a popular pre-Christmas break for Ibiza residents looking for a reprieve from islandittis and at the same time take advantage of its shopping and cultural attractions. With such a big city to choose from we based our weekend around the Sagrada Familia which is in the city’s Eixample area. All of the accommodation chosen is in a few minutes of the Basilica.
The coming week programme, Monday Night Fireworks & where to watch. St Bartolomé for kids, Tulp, Linekers, Ocean Beach & Villa Mercedes plus the legend of St Bartolomé
Those who've been to Formentera before will know how stunning our sister island is, but for those who haven't, let me paint a little picture. White, sandy, clean beaches, turquoise and crystal clear waters, pretty little towns, a few historic ruins, gorgeous, character laden beach chiringuitos (and a couple of the seemingly omnipresent 'beach clubs'), rows of ancient little boat houses and miles of unspoilt nature. I imagine much like Ibiza thirty odd years ago.
